High Transparency grade
The SD POLYCA™ TR-A Series maintains its optical performance even during high-temperature molding, exhibiting excellent brightness and color reproducibility. Additionally, with its ultra-high flowability, it enables the molding of light guide plates for thin, large-screen liquid crystal displays.
The SD POLYCA™ TR-A4 Series retains the superior optical performance of the TR-A Series while further improving resistance to humid heat aging. This grade is ideal for applications where long-term reliability is required, such as automotive light guides and optical design components.
The SD POLYCA™ TX Series offers excellent optical performance combined with superior impact resistance, heat resistance, and dimensional stability, making it suitable for extrusion molding as well.
Features of high transparency grade
The change in yellowness index (YI) due to molding temperature for the TR-A Series compared to general polycarbonate (PC) would highlight the material’s ability to maintain color stability under heat.

The color shift (y-value) during a humid heat aging test (85°C, 90% RH) for the TR-A4 Series would assess how well the material maintains its optical properties under prolonged exposure to heat and humidity.
