Our company positions "Respect for Human Rights" as one of the foundations for business continuity and continues to address it as a critical management issue.

To further promote our efforts related to human rights, the Sumitomo Chemical Group established the "Sumitomo Chemical Group's Basic Policy on Respect for Human Rights" in April 2019, based on the "Universal Declaration of Human Rights," the International Labour Organization's "Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work," the 10 principles of the United Nations Global Compact, and the UN "Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights."

As a member of the Sumitomo Chemical Group, our company is working to raise awareness and ensure thorough understanding of this basic policy in our efforts to respect human rights.
